Guess Who? UK Wedding Dresses at £499 and under from Wed2Be…

August 9, 2016

Guess who’s back?! What a whirlwind it’s been, I’ve missed you all! In the time I’ve been away and got married myself. There is just so much to share and all the wedding details are coming I promise! In the mean time I’m getting back to writing about my grand old love, weddings. Other people’s weddings! Having my own has just made me the more passionate about them. It made me  understand just how important they are. Assisting a bride and understanding her is much better done when you have walked in her shoes.

It’s only appropriate that we discuss a topic that plays on the minds of so many brides when they first start thinking about the big day……the dress.

I genuinely think that one of the reasons the dress has become a spectacle in our minds is that its the one day we feel we have to look good! There’s pressure to look ‘like’ a bride, through I believe the rendition is defined by you. Let’s be honest with ourselves. Great fabrics, craftsmanship and tailoring cost dearly. I studied the world of fabric myself so I’m not going to pull the wool over your eyes on that one. Nothing materially good comes free. Nevertheless every brides priorities are different. I feel that over the years our priorities have changed. The wedding industry is booming and prices sky rocket once you that altering word ‘wedding’. The smartest way to have the wedding of your dreams is to pick your priorities, apportion money there and work/bargain your way around the rest.

I came across the site a couple of months ago, have a good look and saw some reviews. I recommended them to a friend of mine last year and saw her walk up the aisle this year. The dress far exceeded her expectations and mine also. So of course I had to share.

Can a boutique offering bridal dresses under £499 be good. Evidently so!

Aspects I love about the brand:

1. The put the prices on the site! Look I get that prices on display is not luxurious, but if someone else unnecessarily prints ‘ contact stockist for details’ I will smack them with my wallet and demand they take my preferred price!

2. Many many many choices of style, fabrics and shapes.

3. A showroom, with all the dresses and no appointments necessary. I mean film and tv sell us the promise of a beautiful elegant booked appointment. Which is great of course, and exceptional service is absolutely essential. But what’s the use of champagne and orange juice if you are on a late shift and the next available appointment is 3 months away!

I’ve been particularly intrigued by their signature collection designed by Wed2b’s own bridal consultants. Designed by them and inspired by the desires of the brides they come in contact with every day. Genius.

Here are some of my favourites……
