A Blue Wedding Dress is the New Pink Wedding Dress

October 30, 2015

I’m back! We are having the strangest October here in London. Yes I am British, talking about the weather just runs in our tea. It’s pretty warm, and just starting to get chilly. I suppose we should be grateful. All the brides this year who took a risk with an out of season wedding hit the jackpot. Whilst saving a couple of grand!

Now onto tulle and lace….

Remember when blush pink wedding dresses were a huge thing? They still are but have become a modern classic for whimsical and romantic brides everywhere. So it doesn’t really class as a trend anymore.

We are going to see a huge rise in blue wedding dresses in lighter hues of colour. It’s not that white wedding dresses aren’t fabulous. The more I looked for my own wedding dress the more I found that designers are more alternative or decadent in design with coloured bridal dresses. I can’t be the only one who has noticed this!? Is it because they assume a bride choosing colour is always more adventurous? Or that a bride who chooses white is immediately more traditional. I have realised that unless your price range stretches to couturier price points ( £2000 upwards typically) it can seem like everything looks the same. Pouffy like a 90’s toilet brush holder or so simple it looks like a ghost dress that leaves you wondering who the bride is. It’s no wonder a growing percentage of us have given up on visions of white.
